Zak Bagans’ The Haunted Museum
Zak Bagans, star and host of Ghost Adventures, is a well known figure within the paranormal community. He has had an illustrious career and investigated many of the most haunted places and objects from around the world. Having been a life long devotee to the unexplained, Bagans has accumulated a vast collection of artifacts that are said to be cursed, haunted or linked to many darkly disturbing events throughout history.
These artifacts are today displayed publicly in his very own Haunted Museum in Las Vegas. The museum ranges in displays from true crime, celebrities to some pretty notorious haunted objects such as the Dybbuk Box and Peggy the Doll. Though, the collection that is on display within Zak Bagans’ The Haunted Museum has always been impressive, it recently added an artifact that is truly terrifying. So terrifying in fact, that the exhibit was recently closed out of safety concerns.
The Devil’s Rocking Chair
Bagans’ new addition to his museum has eerily been dubbed the “Devil’s Rocking Chair.” This unsuspecting piece of furniture has some pretty dark ties to a case that the Warren’s (well known paranormal investigators who inspired The Conjuring franchise) worked on. This case, best known as the “Devil Made Me Do It,” involves an exorcism, murder and of course the Devil.
Allegedly an 11 year old boy , David Glatzel, became possessed. The Warrens were called upon to help with this case and perform an exorcism of the boy. This rocking chair, which was present throughout these events, was said to have moved on its own, rocking back and forth unexplainably. Even more disturbingly is the claims that the Devil was seen sitting within this rocking chair.
This is all true as I was there to witness…We did unveil the “Devil’s Rocking Chair” today 🤔 https://t.co/N0xjHa2yIi

Though the exorcism of the young boy was a success it is said that the demonic entity entered another man involved in the exorcism. This man went on to murder his landlord shortly after. It is claimed that it was the demonic entity influencing him to cause that terrible crime.
Closure of the Devil’s Rocking Chair Exhibit
The Devil’s Rocking Chair is said to have caused those who have come into contact issues for sometime. These issues include receiving back issues simply from sitting on the chair. The rocking chair was to continue wreaking havoc during its opening night on display at The Haunted Museum.
So we just shut-down a new exhibit @hauntedmuseum temporarily because of what just occured w/ staff & a guest… moments before we opened the exhibit me and my assistant witnessed a plug get yanked out of the wall socket by itself then the door to the chair opened slowly

Supposedly, the door that leads into the chairs exhibit slowly swung open on its own accord, before visitors entered into the museum. Just after this the power illuminating the display was cut after an unseen force pulled out the power cable that lit the exhibit.
Hours later, tour attendees made their way through the museum. One woman appeared to be particularly affected as she walked directly over the top of the Devil’s Rocking Chair exhibit. She is said to have collapsed, began to cry uncontrollably and then fall unconscious. It seems other visitors as well as several members of staff may have also been affected, allegedly also bursting into uncontrollable tears.
These dramatic events have led Bagans to make the decision to close down this exhibit. This is the first time that an exhibit has been closed and it remains unclear whether it will ever reopen again.
Visiting Zak Bagans’ The Haunted Museum
I highly recommend visits to Zak Bagans’ The Haunted Museum if you are ever in the Las Vegas area. the museum is put together extremely well and tours are both informative and entertaining. Tickets can be purchased online or at the venue. Just be prepared to sign a waiver to gain entry!

Amy, do you believe this story of the rocking chair? Or like other carnival barkers throughout the years is this just another long line of getting the people to empty out the contents of their pockets?

Thanks for reading my article and leaving me a comment. Like all ghost stories, it is difficult to validate them. I feel like in this case, at least the chair is on exhibit in a public place where people can visit and experience it themselves in order to make up their own minds.

Amy, do you think that there is a demon watching you right now… 🙂

Nah, I don’t think so.

Do you think the warren’s occult museum should join zak’s museum?
Posted by Amy on April 7, 2023
Nah, not really. I think two haunted museums is better than one.
